This year our MATRIX program involves 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math students from Middle Township Middle School and 7th grade math students from Wildwood Middle School. We continue to maintain our partnership with Bishop McHugh as we integrate technology within the curriculum and instruction of our math classes. There are a total of seventeen MATRIX teachers who are participating in our grant this year. As these teachers develop and use technogy rich activities in their classrooms, they are supported by the guidance of their mentor, professional development opportunities, memberships in the NCTM and Math Forum @ Drexel. This year, our MATRIX teachers are participating in monthly articulation via their own secure wiki. It is a private site, where only our MATRIX participants may edit pages, upload files, and join in discussions. Each of of MATRIX teachers maintains their own class web page with pertinent class information and web sites. These pages serve as a basis of information for parents and students. Parents have been welcomed to the third year of our grant and recieve quarterly updates via our MATRIX newsletter. Please watch this video to see how technology is used to motivate students and promote learning. [Middle School Technology Video] Teacher Web Sites
