Survey of Science I

Survey of Science I is the first of the three-year sequence designed to meet the Core Curriculum Standards. It is intended for students who are currently enrolled in either Algebra-Geometry I or HSPA Prep 9.

This course covers basic biological and earth science principals using hands on activities, real world applications, and technology where possible. Concepts presented in this course include plant and animal cell structure and function, mitosis and meiosis, photosynthesis respiration, digestion, and reproduction, an introduction to earth science, meteorology, and space science is also included.
