Special Education English

                            9, 10, 11, & 12


The focus of the English curriculum is on two levels — reading (including emphasis on sight vocabulary, analysis skills, comprehension, study skills, and literary elements) and also written and spoken language as applicable to personal and career development.

A variety of instructional strategies is employed, including class and small group activities as well as individual instruction.

Where applicable, independent study assignments may be given. Four years of English are required for graduation.
