Student Acceptable Use Policy
Middle Township Public School students and their parents or guardians are required to sign an Internet User Agreement and Parent Permission Form annually. The form stipulates that the student agrees to comply with the rules and regulations listed in Board Policies 2640.1 and 5640 regarding communicating over the Internet. Any student using the Research Lab in the Media Center must abide by the following guidelines.
Use of computers in the Research Lab should be educational in nature. If a task is not school related, it should be worked on outside of school. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary action.
THESE ACTIONS ARE NOT PERMITTED:
Sending, displaying or printing obscene/pornographic messages or pictures.
Damaging computers, computer systems, or computer networks.
Changing computer settings (logins, desktop images, browser settings, screen savers, etc.)
Violating copyright laws.
Using the network for commercial purposes.
Downloading or printing to excess (more than 10 pages.
Playing games.
Sending/receiving social e-mail.
Using "chat" rooms or blogs to socialize.
Online shopping (this includes browsing for items).
Using obscene language (printed or verbal).
